Does Muc-Off now produce chains itself? Of course not, but the British took a closer look at what might be the most stressed part of the bike and wondered what could be improved. The result was a new type of coating made of nano-particles, which outshines previous ones.
Muc-Off takes standard chains, cleans them with ultrasound and treats them with a special nanotube formula. Dirt can no longer adhere to it and self-cleaning increases. This greatly reduces the chain’s friction and results in power savings of up to 6 watts. This coating is also suitable for dry and wet conditions. This was always a fine line with conventional chain lubricants. Thanks to these excellent properties, the chain can be used both on the road and off-road.
