Intend Bike Components was previously known for its high-end upside-down and double bridge suspension forks. With the Blackline Ebonite, Cornelius Kapfinger, the founder of Intend, is breaking new ground and developed his first right side up suspension fork, which is now also available from specialist retailers.
The stiff and partly very complex milled aluminum construction as well as a particularly stable steerer tube with a thicker wall thickness in the upper area ensure a higher torsional stiffness compared to the competition. The Blackline Ebonite can be used for tough trail, enduro and freeride use and is intended to appeal to a wide range of MTB riders. Even heavy e-bikes are no problem for this suspension fork.
The products from Cornelius Kapfinger are characterized by detailed solutions such as, for example, the cable routing by means of a carbon cover on the back of the bridge, easy operation of the damping elements and high service friendliness. The fork uses the well-known Fox Gold Oil as a lubricating oil in the casting. Motorex 2.5W damping oil does its job in compression and rebound stages and SKF D35 dust wipers (without collar) are well-known, which are also used with Rock Shox suspension fork. The good availability of these wear materials are another plus point for the Intend Ebonite.

Air spring
As with other Intend models, the positive and negative chambers of the air spring are filled simultaneously via a valve. The progression can be adjusted with the help of up to three volume spacers in the positive chamber. A special pneumatic seal is used to seal the air chamber. This reduces friction and ensures extremely sensitive response behavior, with almost no breakaway torque.

Simple is better – the Blackline Ebonite is tuned using low-speed compression and low-speed rebound damping, which with the factory setup already covers a wide intended use . The compression stage can be adjusted with a total of 18 clicks, while the rebound stage is continuously adjustable. Technical specifications:
