BRAKESTUFF brake disc Punch Disc 203 mm | 6-hole

Optimal thermal management, high-quality materials and a complex manufacturing process – these are the ingredients for a reliable and long-lasting brake disc. The idea comes from Intend BC founder Cornelius Kapfinger, implemented and manufactured at BrakeSTUFF, a small innovative forge for bike parts from the Saxon town of Amtsberg not far from Chemnitz.

In order to achieve the best possible braking performance, the contact surfaces of the punch disc for the brake pads were optimally designed. Since the material for brake discs has to meet the highest requirements, only high-alloy stainless steel is an option. After the complex laser processing, the material is refined with appropriate heat treatment, subsequent vacuum hardening and optionally with glass bead blasting. This enables the perfect hardness and surface structure to be achieved and ensures a high braking effect, stability and minimal noise development.
Many small holes instead of large recesses in the braking surface help to distribute the heat evenly, and thanks to the 30% larger surface, it is dissipated again much faster. The risk of brake fading, for example on long and steep descents, is reduced to a minimum.

In-house test procedures as well as successfully passed brake tests according to DIN EN ISO 4210-2: 2015-12 and the strict EU standard Q2015 standard guarantee the consistent and high quality of the BrakeSTUFF Punch Disc. Well-known manufacturers such as Rohloff, Schindelhauer Bikes, Poison Bikes and Specialized therefore recommend the BrakeSTUFF brake discs as accessories and special tuning parts for their products.
