With the World Runner Carbon SLR rim, the French from Duke have made another big hit. It is lighter and yet more resilient than the previous model. In addition, the high flank ensures above-average aerodynamics and lets you make decent speed on flat sections.
The lower weight is achieved through an optimized use of materials. Areas subject to particularly heavy loads were reinforced, while uncritical ones were cut. In addition, the amount of resin used has been further reduced without sacrificing stability.
Thanks to the SLS2 production technology developed by Duke, post-processing or painting of the rims is no longer necessary in the production process. This alone can save up to 10% in weight and achieve a very high surface quality. The use of high-modulus carbon fibers also improves the inherent damping, which benefits increased driving comfort.
The rim is definitely the class leader when it comes to resilience. With a maximum of 135 kg, you can take a little more luggage with you.
