Beast Components was founded in 2016 by students at the Lightweight Design Chair in Dresden. In view of their origin, it was important from the outset to incorporate the latest scientific methods and the current state of the art into the development of the products. The close cooperation with the Institute for Lightweight Construction at the TU Dresden also helps them in this regard.
Beast Components products are characterized by their combination of lightweight construction, stability and extraordinary optics. But the company founders are also aware of their social responsibility. Instead of outsourcing production to Asia, all components are handmade in Germany and tested in-house. Because the fiber structure of the components is not hidden behind a layer of paint, the high manufacturing quality and clean processing are obvious.

Beast Components developed the profile of the RX40 rim in cooperation with the CFD experts (computational fluid dynamics) from iXent from Munich and the former professor of the Stevens Institute of Technology Len Imes. The rim was subjected to aerodynamic analyzes and optimized with the help of numerical flow mechanics to ensure the lowest possible air resistance in different driving situations. Its modern inner width of 21 millimeters has been optimized for aerodynamically optimal integration of road bike tires with a width of 25 millimeters. With the low weight of only 380 grams with a rim height of 40 millimeters, the balancing act between a light and easy-to-accelerate rim with great robustness was achieved.
