For ultimate trail use, the FOX 34 comes with the same superior features as its lightweight sister, the FOX 34 SC. The completely revised casting guarantees outstanding stiffness values without additional weight. Innovations such as the dip tube ventilation and channels integrated in the dip tubes to improve lubrication and discharge the compressed air in the casting round off the fresh cell treatment. The proven 3-Pos Grip dampers and the improved FLOAT EVOL technology ensure even better response. Stiff 34 mm anodized stanchions, exclusive SKF seals and the closed cartridge ensure a long service life.
Different tuning options ensure the best performance on the trail, provided they are set correctly. And that is exactly where the problem lies – many hobby riders are overwhelmed by this and do not fully exploit the potential of their chassis due to incorrect settings. The result – more frustration than pleasure when biking.
To prevent such problems in the future, Fox thought about it and developed the 3-Pos system.
This greatly simplifies the compression adjustment as well as the tuning of the spring elements to each other and thus enables an unprecedented performance and harmony of the chassis.

PERFORMANCE LINE
The Performance Series forks share the same black anodized aluminum stanchions as the Performance Elite models and feature a GRIP damper.

34 CHASSIS DESIGN
The striking shape of the immersion tube design is not just for looks. The 34 mm stanchions and generously overlapping bushings ensure precise implementation of the steering impulses.

3-POS GRIP damper
Inspired by motocross technology, the GRIP damper cartridge uses a spring-loaded, independently operating, floating piston. GRIP technology allows excess damping oil to flow through ports at the top of the damper, ensuring even damping and increasing durability. The forks of the Performance series provide the modes Open, Medium and Firm as well as an additional fine adjustment option between these three basic settings. The driver now only has to worry about adjusting the spring preload and the rebound stage.

FLOAT AIR SPRING
The FLOAT air spring system reduces the breakaway torque and thus offers a highly sensitive fork and full comfort even with small bumps. And that for every type of driver and at different air pressures. Similar to the FLOAT struts, the FLOAT spring system is characterized by a positive and a negative air chamber, which automatically balance each other out while riding. Each rider enjoys the benefits of the correct, precisely balanced air pressure in both air chambers. The progression of the spring characteristic can be adjusted with our air volume spacers – which enables every driver to set the characteristics of the air spring precisely.

NEW EVOL AIR SPRING
The increased negative air chamber significantly improves the response of the fork. This increases comfort because the breakaway torque has been reduced. In addition, a more linear spring characteristic offers better performance, especially in the middle spring travel ranges.

LOWER LEG CHANNELS
When a fork compresses, the air in the lower areas of the fork tubes is simultaneously compressed. The more the fork deflects, the more the pressure increases. This effect has the consequence that the fork responds harder and may not be able to use the full travel.
The overflow ducts help solve this problem by directing the compressed air from the lower part of the fork tubes upwards, reducing the unintentional pressure increase. Another advantage of these channels is that the lubricating oil in the lower area of the slider tubes circulates upwards during the spring process and continuously lubricates the foam rings and the sliding bushings.
