The KCNC Brake cables consist of very many, very thin titanium wires. The delicate structure leads to a high flexibility of the trains, without that the braking performance is adversely affected. Teflon provides without any further lubrication one of the lowest coefficients of friction with other solids on. So that the trains without any lubrication slide better than many alternatives with lubrication.
