This wheelset also defies the special loads of an e-bike drive. The indestructible Chris King hubs and the superbly crafted Duke rims forgive driving mistakes. The balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.

Hubs
There is a certain myth attached to CHRIS KING hubs. They have been on the market almost unchanged for years and yet are not old fashioned. Thanks to the proven technical inner workings, constant further development in detail and unmistakable appearance, they have developed into a true cult object.
Due to the large hub flange of the ISO hubs, shorter spokes can be used when building wheels. This not only saves weight, but also enables a very stable and durable bike.
The unmistakable sound of the freewheel is the hallmark of the rear hubs. Chris King himself called it “Angry Bee Sound”, the sound of the angry bee, which is generated by the 72 grid points of the stainless steel toothed disc. With this 3-part RingDrive system, every step is immediately converted into propulsion without a large amount of idle travel.
The heart of the hub are the ball bearings. These are also developed and produced directly by Chris King. This means that they can be fully adapted to the specific loads and forces. The multiple seals mean that water or dirt cannot penetrate.

rims
The rims from Duke from France stand for low weight and excellent workmanship. The hookless construction is ideal for the use of tubeless systems. The reinforced bead makes it easier to cope with any punctures without causing damage. The fairly flat and wide rims reliably support the tire in every situation, so you don’t have a spongy driving experience even with little air pressure.
The asymmetrical shape enables a more even spoke tension, which further increases the rigidity of the entire wheel.

Spokes
The Race spoke is the classic from Sapim! It is a round spoke with a butted middle section of 1.8 mm in diameter. This provides more cushioning than non-tapered spokes. It also makes it easier to digest short load peaks. The Race spoke enables very stiff and stable wheels for practically every intended use . The weight including nipple is approx. 6.95 g per piece. Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction process, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this was not caused by force!
