MAXXIS tires Highroller II 27.5 | 650B x 2.50WT 3C MaxxTerra TR DoubleDown
The bike park can come…
With the further developed version of the classic, Maxxis has succeeded in further improving the successful model.
The more aggressive tread has been made more open to improve self-cleaning and traction. New shoulder lugs with many edges bite better in curves. The lugs, which are slanted in the middle of the profile, are again cut across to optimize braking performance.
Since it always offers sufficient grip in a wide variety of track conditions, it is the first choice for freeride and downhill with its large-volume carcass!
Wide Trail Casing (WT)
This special carcass construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today’s wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and get a too square shape on wide rims and thus a less than optimal performance.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
tube tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube , the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other “tubeless ready” tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tube . As a result, tube installation is successful for all rims with standard dimensions the first time you pump it up and with little liquid.
“Normal” MAXXIS MTB tires can also be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabric is very dense.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.
Note: We strongly advise against the use of sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been shown to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.
double down
Doubledown tires are constructed like downhill tires: two carcass layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two 120 TPI (instead of 60 TPI) carcass layers and an aramid bead, they are lighter than downhill tires, significantly more stable and robust than TR + EXO tires and therefore ideal for hard enduro courses.
3C MaxxTerra
3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tires. Ease of movement uphill and the best grip downhill characterize this mixture as well as a long service life. Technical specifications:
